Hypnosis – What to expect during your visit?
So what can you expect during your visit? As a hypnotherapist, I will talk with you first to understand what behavior you would like to change, or what goals you are seeking to accomplish.
Then you will sit in a comfortable recliner and I will ask you to close your eyes and relax. I will speak to you in a soft, soothing voice and guide you through a relaxation exercise. As you become more relaxed, I will simply give you suggestions to help you reach the goals you desire.
There are many techniques available to help you become relaxed and others to help attain the goals you have. You may feel wide awake and not feel anything „different.“ Or, you may feel sleepy and very, very relaxed. You may visualize bright colors or vivid scenes in your mind. Your mind may wander and that’s fine, too. This process can anywhere from 45 minutes to an hour or more. However, in that very pleasant and relaxed state, the minutes pass very quickly!
Depending on how relaxed you are able to become, you may or may not always be aware of the sound of my voice. I encourage you to daydream, and you do not have to concentrate on every word I am saying because I am not speaking to your conscious mind — I am speaking directly to the part of your mind that is most competent at helping you to change your behavior or improve in some area of your life.
